The Alps Champion Programme is designed for those of you who are driving the Alps culture in your schools and colleges. The great, practical resources on this page have been put together to be used to support you and your staff to get the most from your Alps analysis.

Step 1 – Becoming an Alps Champion

Use the Alps Champions Handbook as your guide to ensure that Alps will have an impact in your school/college.

There are some Staff Checklists to support you in getting your staff to ask the right sorts of questions at the right time.

The Alps Cycle gives you an overview of the resources that Alps will offer across the Academic Year.

Step 2 – Connect Data

Start by setting up your cohort and teaching details in Connect Data.

Submit grades and publish to Connect Interactive.

You will also need to give your staff Connect logins.

Step 3 – Connect Interactive

Getting started in Connect Interactive.

The resources in this section will give you an overview of how to get the most from the tools in Connect Interactive.

Start with the CI Workbook and short videos as a guide to understanding the features built into the platform.

There are some longer videos which go into more detail on using Connect Interactive within a gradepoint context.

Step 4 – Understand the Alps Methodology and target setting

To start using the analysis, you need to understand the methodology a little.

The resources in this section will help you to understand how Alps target setting works and how to get to grips with the methodology behind the analysis. There are PowerPoints to use with staff, and videos where we talk you though the numbers.

Use some of these resources to train your staff.

Step 5 – Use Connect Interactive / PDF Reports to analyse your examination results

Use the resources in this section alongside the staff checklists in Step 1 to support your staff in getting the most out of their Subject Reviews following the examination results

Step 6 – Use Connect Interactive throughout the year to track the progress of your students at a strategic, subject and teaching set level.

Remember: you can add an unlimited number of monitoring points

The resources below include some specific monitoring checklists, articles on how to add a set of monitoring data, and some longer videos on how you might make the most impact from various types of monitoring data.
