Additional Qualification Benchmarks available in 2019-20

17th July 2019

Great news! We will be offering analysis for the following subjects in 2019-20.

Our Benchmarks have been generated from the full national datasets. Full details for 2019-20 will be available in the updated Alps Guides which you will find in the Resources section on your Connect Homepage.

IB
There are subject benchmarks available for 48 IB subjects, at both Standard level and Higher level, where there is sufficient data from the national dataset. Individual subject analysis is available in Connect Interactive, where you will be able to view progress across all subjects and carry out comparisons on the progress of your key groups of students, for example by gender. As the profile of the IB student data is different to that of A level students, unique Minimum Expected Grades are also available.

There is currently not a benchmark for the overall IB qualification. The IB is available in Connect Interactive only and will not appear in a PDF report.

Pre-U
There are subject benchmarks available for 12 Pre-U qualifications. In Connect Interactive you can view an overview of how each one has performed against national progress in that subject. In addition, you can compare the progress of your key groups of students within each subject page.

At this stage there is not sufficient data to benchmark the Pre-U short courses. Pre-U analysis is included in Connect Interactive only and will not appear in a PDF report.

UAL
There are 9 UAL subject benchmarks available, including 5 L3 Diplomas and 4 Extended Diplomas.

The UAL subject gradings and analysis will appear in the BTEC pdf report as individual pages but will not contribute towards the overall measures for your BTEC courses. In addition, you will be able to view the UAL subject analysis in Connect Interactive, where you can compare progress made by your key groups of students.

CACHE
Our CACHE analysis now incorporates 7 subject areas including the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Childcare and Education.

CACHE analysis appears in the BTEC PDF report but does not contribute towards the overall measures for your BTEC courses. In addition, you will be able to view the CACHE subject analysis in Connect Interactive, where you can compare progress made by your key groups of students.
