All Isle of Man State Secondary Schools Adopt Alps to Strengthen Collaboration and Raise Student Outcomes

Alps Education is proud to announce that all five state secondary schools in the Isle of Man – St Ninian’s High School, Ramsey Grammar School, Queen Elizabeth II High School, Castle Rushen High School, and Ballakermeen High School – have adopted Alps Connect to support student progress and drive performance improvement.

This island-wide implementation marks a significant step forward in the Isle of Man’s approach to using data in education. By uniting around a common language for performance analysis, all five schools will benefit from a consistent and collaborative framework for school improvement, best practice sharing, and improving student outcomes.

A common language for progress across the Island

Alps Connect provides teachers and leaders with a powerful, intuitive platform to track student progress, identify areas for intervention, and compare performance across groups and subjects. The tool supports both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 and enables data-led discussions at every level – from classroom teaching to leadership strategy.

The move ensures that every secondary school on the island is working from the same foundation when it comes to analysing and responding to data. With Alps Connect, schools gain access to interactive dashboards, student-level reports, subject diagnostics, and the unique Alps benchmarks – supporting swift identification of strengths and areas for development.

Toby Ahern, Commercial Director at Alps Education commented:

“We’re delighted to welcome the Isle of Man’s state secondary schools into the Alps community. This joined-up approach highlights a clear commitment to equity, collaboration and raising standards. Alps Connect will provide staff across all five schools with consistent, actionable data analysis and insight, creating a shared framework to help achieve better outcomes for every student.”

Chris Coole, Headteacher at St Ninian’s High School, added:

“Using Alps across all secondary schools will give us a shared way to understand and discuss data. It means we can work more effectively together as a group of schools, support each other and keep our focus where it belongs – on the students. Alps Connect will make a real difference to how we plan and reflect on progress, providing a consistent island-wide view of data that we can also compare with other jurisdictions.  We look forward to working with Alps over the next three years.”

The Isle of Man joins a growing number of schools, colleges and Groups across the UK and internationally that are adopting Alps to enable consistent, impactful use of performance data. Alps looks forward to working closely with all five schools in the months and years ahead.
