New Platinum Partner – Helping HMC Members Drive Aspirational Outcomes for Students

We are delighted to announce our new Platinum Partnership with the HMC (the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference)

HMC’s new Platinum Partnership Programme connects Heads and their senior teams with relevant and cutting-edge experts in the independent schools sector. We are therefore pleased to announce HMC’s platinum partnership for 2022/2023 with Alps Education.

We understand that all of our members are committed to the philosophy of education as an engine for social mobility, so we’re delighted to be working in partnership with Alps, who help students to aim higher by providing KS4 and KS5 performance analysis. Alps supports school leaders, and enables teachers, to drive-up student achievement and improve educational outcomes, whilst celebrating strengths and setting actions to close any gaps in students’ learning.

Dr Simon Hyde, HMC General Secretary, says: “HMC is delighted to have Alps on board as a Platinum Partner. Alps has a long-standing track record of providing analysis and support for schools to help improve outcomes, while keeping the student at the heart of the improvement process.”

The benchmarks provided by Alps are robust as the analysis is made against the full national dataset. Of particular relevance to HMC members, is the shared language to understand how your students are performing against every other independent school in the country (as well as every other school with a UK curriculum).

By using the Alps thermometer, teachers can find out how their department is performing. They can find out how a group, or an individual student, is performing and put key interventions in place to help increase student performance.
