Meet Josh, our brilliant Customer Success and CRM Administrator
Introducing our brilliant Customer Success and CRM Administrator, Josh Harmer. Josh is a vital member of the Alps Customer Success Team, providing superb 1-1 data support and ensuring our CRM software is in good order to ensure that we can deliver the best service possible. Earlier this month we caught up with Josh to see how his first year at Alps is going and to find out what advice he would give someone wanting to start a career in Customer Success.
Hi Josh, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Alps?
Hello, I’ve been working at Alps for just over a year now, my main responsibilities are responding to queries from clients and providing 1-1 data support. With the recent addition of CRM Administrator to my job role, I am now largely involved in improving and maintaining our CRM software in order to ensure that we can deliver the best service possible.
What is your favourite thing about working at Alps?
During the last year at Alps, I have really enjoyed getting to know the rest of the team (and especially meeting their pets!). One of my favourite things about working for Alps is being encouraged to develop my skills, whether it be working on a new project or working alongside a member of another team. It’s a great to work at a company with a similar ethos to my own; one which emphasises individualised educational progress rather than blanket attainment.
So far, what has been your biggest achievement at Alps?
I think my biggest achievement is that I’ve been able to quickly build positive relationships with customers and colleagues. I’ve also been able to take on additional responsibilities within the company. For example, I’m now involved in the development of the company’s internal CRM software.
What have you learned, or how have you grown in your role since working for Alps?
Since starting at Alps, I’ve learned a variety of technical skills which have allowed me to take on additional responsibilities within the company. More generally, I’ve become more confident in my own ideas, and have developed my people skills.
What advice would you give someone wanting to start a career in Customer Success?
Be patient with yourself, you will gain confidence with experience! Also, be open to feedback about how to improve, no one is born perfect (except my cat).
