Meet Georgia – our fantastic Customer Success Specialist
For our latest ‘Meet the Team’ blog, we sat down with our fantastic Customer Success Specialist, Georgia, to find out about her career background, her biggest achievements at Alps and what advice she would give to aspiring Customer Success experts.
Hello, Georgia! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your career background?
I joined Alps in May 2024, although it feels like I’ve been part of the team for much longer. Before joining Alps, I worked at an FE college, where I connected local businesses across the Bradford/Leeds area with T Level students for industry placements. This role gave me a real insight into the education sector, particularly the pressures staff face with heavy workloads and the challenges of managing data. It also showed me how rewarding it can be to support young people in achieving their educational goals.
Before starting my career, I graduated from the University of York in 2022 with a BA in English Literature, which has always been a passion of mine. After that, I completed my MA in Publishing at UCLan in 2023, where I worked with a children’s publisher on commercial publications, assisting with marketing, graphic design and editorial work.
Alongside my studies, I’ve worked in retail, hospitality and tourism, most memorably at a chocolate shop in York!
So far, what have been your biggest achievements at Alps?
One of my biggest achievements at Alps has been leading the Knowledge Base project, following the release of our new User Interface in 2025. This involved a full strategic overhaul of our support hub, including redesigning its structure, rewriting historic articles and creating new content, to improve clarity and usability. Seeing the finished resource go live has been incredibly rewarding, particularly hearing positive feedback from customers and knowing that new staff members are better supported through clear, easy-to-follow guides.
What have you learned, or how have you grown in your role since working for Alps?
I have learned so much in my time at Alps, it’s hard to summarise! Working in Customer Success means wearing many hats and collaborating across teams. This experience has helped me grow in confidence and explore new challenges beyond my core responsibilities. I’m now much more confident sharing ideas, asking the right questions and getting involved in wider projects that support the business.
What is your favourite thing about working at Alps?
The people. I love working at a company where everyone, regardless of team or role, is listened to and supported. The Customer Success Team at Alps feels like a family, where each member is unique, valued and respected.
What advice would you give aspiring Customer Success experts?
At its core, Customer Success is about putting the customer first. That might sound obvious, but in an ever-changing world where technology continues to reshape how we interact, it’s easy to lose sight of the human element. My advice to aspiring Customer Success Experts is to always lead with empathy. Tools, data and automation matter, but real success comes from listening, building trust and putting the customer first.
Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I have many hobbies! I love sports, mainly playing Badminton in the Leeds league and I enjoy arts, crafts and cake decorating. I recently made my sister’s wedding cake, which was both exciting and slightly terrifying at the same time.
