Meet Callum, our Talented Customer Success Specialist
Meet our talented Customer Success Specialist, Callum Taylor. Callum has been part of the Alps family for nearly 5 years and has always been passionate about putting the customer first. Earlier this month, we sat down with Callum to find out more about what he loves most about working for Alps and his top tips for someone wanting to start a career in Customer Success.
Hi Callum, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Alps?
Hello, I have been part of the Alps family for almost 5 years, and I am pleased to say every day is a school day. It sounds cliché but no two days are the same at Alps. As a Customer Success Specialist, I am the first person to welcome new schools and colleges to Alps by arranging and delivering their onboarding. On a regular basis I also reach out to our existing customers to arrange their annual Health checks. These are all unique as each school is at a different stage in their Alps journey. One of my main day to day tasks, and something I really enjoy, is answering our live chat. Our live chat function has become increasingly popular over the last two years, it’s great to see how valuable it is for our customers.
So far, what has been your biggest achievement at Alps?
During my time at Alps a standout achievement would be getting consistently high feedback from customers. Off the back of this, I am now leading a new exciting project working with our development team, turning our NPS feedback into a development roadmap for enhancements to the platform. This new project has given me the unique opportunity to develop my skills in UI/UK with our Product Development Team.
What do you enjoy most about working at Alps?
My role wouldn’t be the same without the amazing customers I work with, both on a regular basis and the people I talk to during the exams period. Finding out how we can create better user experiences for our users is something that gets me out of bed on a morning. I really enjoy being part of the Customer Success Team, we are incredibly supportive of one another and everyone pulls their weight.
What advice would you give someone wanting to start a career in Customer Success?
It’s the type of career that rewards patience and hard work in abundance. So, if you’re the type of person that likes to see the fruits of your labour in the form of great feedback from the people you support, then it’s the career for you!
